Credit Evaluation Advisory Committee (CEAC)

CEAC serves to advise the university community on transfer and other credit issues. Specifically, CEAC will:

  • Work to standardize transfer credits across the university;
  • Serve in an advisory capacity to the Cross-disciplinary Curriculum Committee and the Faculty Senate’s Academic Policies Committee;
  • Provide, as needed, research about various academic policies relevant to the evaluation of academic credit;
  • When necessary, channel credit evaluation issues to the appropriate committees; and
  • Offer direction for awarding credit at George Mason University (such as credit for prior learning, competency-based learning, etc.)
