Honors College

The Honors College draws the most academically talented students to George Mason University, and offers them the attention they would receive at a small college while also providing access to the resources of a large research university.

The Honors College curriculum includes a set of required Core courses that can fulfill the university’s general education requirements, plus optional Honors subject courses.   Honors students are welcomed into all of the university’s majors and minors. Twenty-five students are accepted each year into the University Scholars Program, which provides a scholarship covering the full cost of tuition over four years, and special enhancements to the university curriculum.

The Honors College also offers a Living Learning Community to help students meet others with similar interests and ambitions.
