The Second Annual Mason Graduate Interdisciplinary Conference is a one-day event focusing on paper and research presentations. It is the goal of this conference to create large group discussion across disciplines and provide insight to scholarly research. As an interdisciplinary conference, we seek students from all disciplines at George Mason University to participate. As an outcome for the conference, we hope to provide students a space to enhance their skills in research presentation and communication.
We are excited to announce this year’s conference will feature the second annual Mason Three Minute Thesis (3MT™) competition. The 3MT™ was developed by the University of Queensland, Australia, to provide PhD students the opportunity to cultivate their academic, presentation, and research communication skills. Students participating in this event will have a three-minute window to effectively explain their research in terms appropriate to a non-specialist audience. Cash prizes will be awarded for First, Second, and Third place winners!
