About Phi Beta Delta

Phi Beta Delta is the first honor society dedicated to recognizing scholarly achievement in international education.  Established in 1986, the society's goals are:

One of more than 120 chapters nationally, the Epsilon Delta chapter at George Mason University was founded in April 2001, at which time 83 members were inducted. 

New members are nominated to the society on the basis of academic achievement and participation in international educational activities.  Student nominees are required to submit a statement explaining why they would like to accept the nomination, as well as to obtain a recommendation from a faculty member.
