The Provost’s IT Projects and Information Services Team supports the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President with a range of technical support and expertise, enhancing services and business processes.
The team has helped to develop and maintain numerous websites, and has also developed specialized web applications to assist in automating processes and managing information. Examples of web applications include the Mason Global Register, which captures information on the university’s many global activities and makes it accessible in one location, and the Online Adult Student Information System (OASIS) transfer credit search engine, which helps prospective students understand how credit already earned might be applied to Mason’s degree programs, and therefore make more informed choices.
As needed, the Provost’s IT Team also assists in managing larger reporting and ad hoc data-related projects. They serve as a liaison between academic administration and the university’s central IT unit.
