George Mason University’s Writing Across the Curriculum program is designed to support student writing as a means to critical thinking and deeper engagement in learning, especially in major field programs.
The program provides extensive support for faculty teaching writing-intensive courses, including general resources on teaching with writing, discipline-specific guides to teaching with writing, and resources to which faculty can direct students. It also provides some coordination in working with the Writing Center and setting expectations for student writing.
