The Undergraduate Council, composed of faculty and staff representing schools, colleges and departments, focuses on the university's undergraduate curriculum.
The multi-disciplinary panel reviews and approves the creation, modification, or discontinuation of:
- Undergraduate academic degree programs.
- Certificate programs.
- New bachelor’s/accelerated master’s programs.
- Minors.
- Courses.
The council also monitors undergraduate program assessment and advises the Staff Senate on undergraduate academic policies.
Meetings, held from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. monthly during the academic year, are open to the Mason community. Submit agenda items two weeks before the meeting; if they're received after that deadline, they'll be covered at the next meeting. The agenda will be set a week before the meeting.
Read the agenda and minutes from previous meetings.
