Mason COACHE Partnership

Faculty are at the heart of our academic enterprise. Mason cannot succeed in its goals without faculty engagement.

Our Partnership with COACHE

The Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE) is a partnership that aims to strengthen faculty programs, policies, and professional development opportunities. COACHE is part of the Harvard Graduate School of Education and has been partnering with institutions to conduct faculty surveys for over 20 years. Mason is partnering with COACHE to administer the Faculty Satisfaction and Faculty Retention and Exit surveys.

The COACHE partnership will help Mason :

  • Collect comprehensive data that drills down into areas that impact satisfaction and productivity;

  • Benchmark results to and collaborate with peer institutions to design effective programs, policies and practices to facilitate organizational change and improve faculty outcomes;

  • Develop a more robust picture of faculty retention; and

  • Create Mason-specific action plans to intentionally strengthen faculty well-being and success.
