Course Scholarship Development Grant

Provide support for the design or redesign of courses in which students participate in the creation of original scholarly or creative projects, typically resulting in an RS designated course.

Application or Nomination Due: November and February

Date of Notification: December (for November cycle) and April (for February cycle)

Application or Nomination Criteria
Applications include:
• Current syllabus
• Narrative statement
• Timeline
• Budget
• Statement of Support from Unit Chair

Decision Making Criteria
Applications will be evaluated based on the quality of completion according to stated requirements.

Composition of Review Team
Applications will be reviewed by OSCAR staff and by the Students as Scholars Faculty and Curricular Activities Committee, which consists of faculty and staff from across the disciplines who are committed to fostering a culture of student scholarship at Mason.
