New Adjunct Faculty Success Workshop

The next New Adjunct Faculty Success Workshop will be held Saturday, August 17th.

Registration is open now.

The workshop is specifically designed to meet the unique needs and challenges faced by adjunct faculty, support your transition to campus, and develop practical strategies for success with your students. Across the day, we will provide a broad overview of working at Mason, a campus resource fair, introductions to important policies, and sessions to enhance your teaching skills for online and in-person classes. You will also have hands-on work time to design your courses and complete the required Title IX and Sexual Harassment Prevention training compliance. We offer something for everybody, whether you've been teaching for decades or you're about to teach your first class.

Attendees at prior workshops said...

  • "The event was really great. It provided valuable information and a fresh sense of optimism. You could tell the staff really cares and wants the adjunct faculty to succeed."
  • "All of the orientation instructors were engaging, energetic, and informative - well done!"

Breakfast and lunch are provided. Please bring Employment Eligibility (Form I-9) documentation with you that will be reviewed by an HR representative who will complete Section 2 of the form if you have not done so already. Please bring your laptop to use during various interactive Blackboard training sessions.

Registration and onboarding paperwork begin at 9:00am. Presentations will begin at 10:00am. Complimentary parking is available in the general parking permit section of Rappahannock River Parking Deck (levels 1&2). Please note there is no pre-payment for the complimentary parking.
