From recruitment through graduation, Enrollment Management connects students to educational resources that open doors to opportunity.
Enrollment Management optimizes student recruitment and retention by developing and implementing strategic enrollment plans, overseeing the admissions process, providing financial aid services, and managing the Mason Student Services Center—a centralized student services resource.
To aid in these efforts, we:
- Ensure that our activities support George Mason’s enrollment goals
- Place the student (and family) at the center of our work
- Collaborate with the university community to achieve our objectives

How We Support Students
- Assist current students with registration, enrollment, financial aid, billing, academic records, and other student support services
- Offer prospective student an opportunity to explore the campus, meet current students, and provide information about George Mason’s programs and services
- Evaluate student applications and admissions to George Mason
How We Support Faculty
- Provide data analytics to help faculty understand trends in student enrollment and demographics
- Promote programs and courses to prospective students
- Facilitate data-driven decisions related to program development and student success
- Raise awareness of the university through marketing and outreach efforts to attract quality applicants

Enrollment Services
Enrollment Services creates, develops, and implements strategies to attract and enroll new students while maintaining Mason’s brand and strategic vision.
The office also manages communications with new students by:
- Overseeing division events
- Collaborating with units on academic-specific communications
- Working with the Office of University Branding on digital and print marketing initiatives
Business Intelligence
Business Intelligence provides enrollment data to Mason offices and designs analytics tools to improve student recruitment, enrollment, and retention efforts. The office compiles and reports enrollment information on the Arlington, Fairfax, and Prince William campuses, and the Loudoun instructional site through MicroStrategy.
To gain access to MicroStrategy please follow the procedures on the Banner Access website. First, contact your department’s Banner Liaison and complete the Banner Administrative Systems Account Request form.
Faculty and staff members may access these MicroStrategy reports using their NetID and Patriot Pass Password. To access the following reports, users must be connected to Mason’s wired network, the MASON-SECURE Wi-Fi network, or Mason’s VPN. Instructions for logging in to the VPN are available here.
