Nominations for Presidential Awards for Faculty Excellence extended to Jan. 30

Body

The nomination deadline for the Presidential Awards for Faculty Excellence—which were created to recognize, promote, and honor outstanding members of our community for excellence in teaching, research, social impact, diversity, and inclusion—has been extended and are now due Tuesday, January 30.

Nominations are invited from across the entire Mason community; recipients will be selected by a team of faculty representatives and senior leaders. To nominate a faculty member, send the nominee’s current CV, along with a letter explaining why they are competitive for the award, and submit them to facaward@gmu.edu. For details about the criteria and the nomination process, visit the award website.

This is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the outstanding faculty who shape the lives of thousands of students, advance their field’s frontier of knowledge, and contribute to our global and local communities. Email questions about the awards or process to Brian Platt and Kim Eby.
